Charlie Wilson

President

Charles T. Wilson III became President of CT Wilson Construction Company in 2016, continuing the legacy of the family-owned business. His journey in construction began at an early age, working summers in the field as a laborer and gaining firsthand experience in the industry.

After earning his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University in 1993, Charlie obtained his Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. He went on to complete a Master’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin, where he also worked for a general contractor specializing in healthcare facilities. In 1999, he officially joined CT Wilson Construction in a full-time capacity.

As President and third-generation owner, Charlie focuses on new client acquisition and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to the company’s founding principle of community service.

As a proud alum of Durham Academy, Charlie supports their capital campaign work Outside of work, Charlie enjoys leading an active lifestyle and spending time with his two adult children, Anna Catherine and Charles T. Wilson IV.

Emily Herndon

Vice President of Marketing & BD

Emily began her career in the AEC industry while studying Architecture at NC State University, gaining hands-on experience through internships with various firms. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 2013, she joined CT Wilson Construction as a field laborer, quickly proving her dedication and leadership potential. Over the years, she rose through the ranks to become a Project Manager, before transitioning into a full-time marketing role in 2019.

Emily is a committed leader in the AEC marketing space. She is an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Triangle Chapter and a former regional leader in the South Atlantic Region of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). In 2021, she furthered her education with a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from NC State’s Jenkins MBA program. Her strategic vision and contributions were recognized in 2025 when she was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at CT Wilson. In her current role, Emily leads the company’s marketing and pursuit strategy, branding efforts, budget management, performance analytics, industry research, vendor procurement, communications, event planning, and the overall direction of both marketing and business development departments.

Beyond her professional commitments, Emily is deeply involved in her community. She serves on the Board of Directors and the Development & Engagement Committee for Housing for New Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals transition out of homelessness. She also contributes to the Marketing Committee for the North Carolina Minority- and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Coordinators Network, supporting economic inclusion across the state. In addition, she serves as a co-leader of the Guest Services team at her church.

Kyle Ramsey

Vice President of Preconstruction

Kyle joined CT Wilson Construction two years after his brother, Justin, while pursuing his degree at North Carolina State University. He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering and Management. Before moving into project estimating, Kyle gained valuable experience in the field, serving in both Superintendent and Project Manager roles.

In 2025, Kyle was promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction, where he now leads the estimating department. His responsibilities include subcontractor and supplier pricing procurement, material quantification, preliminary budgeting, comprehensive cost estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews. His expertise ensures that each project is thoroughly analyzed and strategically priced from the outset.

Kyle plays a key role in aligning CT Wilson’s project pursuits with the company’s long-term strategic vision. He also helps maintain and strengthen relationships with design partners, clients, and subcontractors, making his role essential to the company’s continued success.

Justin Ramsey

Vice President of Project Operations

Justin began his career at CT Wilson Construction in 2004 as an Assistant Superintendent while pursuing his degrees at North Carolina State University. In 2006, he graduated with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Construction Engineering and Management and Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Structures. That same year, he joined CT Wilson full-time as a Project Manager.

Over the years, Justin has demonstrated a strong commitment to project excellence and team development. In 2016, he was promoted to Senior Project Manager, where he led large-scale projects for repeat clients and mentored new team members in project operations. His leadership and technical expertise led to his promotion to Project Executive in 2023, and shortly after to Vice President of Project Operations in 2024.

In his current role, Justin oversees all aspects of project management operations, ensuring every project meets the highest standards for quality, budget control, and schedule performance. He collaborates closely with other members of CT Wilson’s Executive Leadership Team to optimize performance across departments and project lifecycles, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences for clients, partners, and employees alike.

Justin is actively involved in the industry and his local community. He is a member of the Carolinas Associated General Contractors of America (CAGC) and a past member of the WayMakers Collaborative with Durham Tech and Durham Public Schools.

Craig Herndon

Vice President of Field Operations

Craig began his career in the construction industry shortly after high school by enrolling in the apprenticeship program at Bryant Durham Electric. While pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management at East Carolina University (ECU), he gained hands-on experience working for a developer building service stations across Durham. After graduating in 1999, Craig joined CT Wilson Construction as a Superintendent.

From 2015 to 2017, Craig broadened his experience by working as an Owner’s Representative and Construction Manager for Dunhill Holdings, a real estate holding company. In this role, he was responsible for managing land acquisitions, zoning and permitting, contractor and designer selection, owner commissioning, and project closeout—giving him a well-rounded perspective on project development from start to finish.

In 2022, Craig was promoted to Vice President of Field Operations at CT Wilson Construction. As part of the Executive Leadership Team, he serves as the field operations representative, overseeing safety, quality control, and all field personnel—from skilled laborers to supervisors and apprentices. He collaborates closely with other executives to ensure projects are delivered successfully, both for the client and the company.

In 2023, Craig led a major workforce development initiative by establishing an in-house apprenticeship training program certified by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). He and several field supervisors became certified trainers to help introduce young talent—especially recent high school graduates—to careers in construction through on-the-job training and mentorship.

Craig is an active member of the Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC) and gives back to the community through volunteer work with the Durham Rescue Mission’s holiday meal supply for underserved communities. He also serves as a lead on the seating team at his church.

Devin Hill

Vice President of Administration

Devin joined CT Wilson Construction in 2023 as a Human Resources Generalist, bringing five years of experience from a local engineering firm. Her background included a wide range of responsibilities, such as recruiting, pre-employment screening, onboarding and offboarding, employee data management, benefits administration, wellness programming, policy development, internal communications, and employee engagement initiatives. She also played a key role in planning and executing company-wide events.

From the start, Devin’s collaborative, cross-departmental approach has driven significant improvements across the organization. She led major advancements in employee data systems, HR processes, benefit enhancements, and talent management strategies—transforming how CT Wilson supports its team.

In recognition of her leadership and impact, Devin was promoted to Human Resources Manager in 2024. Just a year later, in 2025, she was named Vice President of Administration. In this role, she now oversees the company’s finance, project accounting, human resources, compliance, IT/cybersecurity, and office administration departments. In addition to her work commitments, Devin is heavily invested in the betterment of our industry, which is reflected through her service on the Carolinas Associated General Contractors HR committee and her involvement with their Young Leaders group. As a member of the Alamance County Human Resources Association (ACHRA), she demonstrates her commitment to continuous learning and collaboration.

Devin works closely with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that CT Wilson’s PRO You commitment is reflected not only in external relationships, but also within the organization—ensuring every employee has access to the resources and opportunities they need to grow and thrive.

Chuck Wilson

Owner

After graduating from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Chuck served as a Damage Control Officer and Engineering Officer on two different ships in the US Navy before taking a management position at CT Wilson Construction. Charles T Wilson, Jr. has been the Treasurer of CT Wilson Construction Company since 1983. Chuck has held nearly every position within the company and currently oversees the company’s corporate operations. Chuck is active in his church and serves on numerous boards for both civic and industry-affiliated organizations as an advocate for education, minority participation, workforce development, and healthcare. He is a Durham native and a proud grandfather.
